VTC in the Community

Lifeline Education Charter School invited us to share the logistics industry with their students on career day on March 28th. Director of Operations Dave Clifford and Safety Coordinator Roberto Figueroa spoke about beginning a career in the logistics industry, what it takes to become a driver, and explained what drivers do in their work. They were also able to field questions from the kids including “What are the colorful diamonds on the tank for?”, “Do you need to go to college to drive a truck?” and “How much do truck mechanics make?”

Our independent contractor driver, Keegan Coleman Wilson, brought his truck along so that the kids could see all of its moving parts and get an up-close look at the equipment. It was a great day of sharing our passion with the kids. We’re grateful for the opportunity to be involved in the local community and to help inspire the next generation of supply chain workers!
